ROSEISLE LOCAL HISTORY

June 1, 2016 by David Hetherington

This week thanks again to Helen and Handley Barret who have amassed a wealth of information on the history of Roseisle and the immediate locality and who have made all that information available to us.

I attach some information on the Burghead Fort and some fascinating stuff on the old roads around Roseisle. We sometimes tend to assume that the roads we use today have always been there but often these are quite modern routes and some of the original roads may now just exist as farm tracks or footpaths.
