How to Help at the Hall

We welcome local people to help out at the hall. There are plenty of ways to help. We always have fun, whether it is work or play.

Hall Committee Member – we need committee members to help run the hall and take care of the upkeep. If you are interested in joining the committee then come to the AGM, held in March each year, or contact Kate on 835385 to find out what is involved.

Grass Cutting Rota – the hall grounds grass is cut weekly in the summer, using a ride on mower, to keep it in great condition for events. There are currently 8 people on the rota, so each person does it 2 or 3 times per year. contact Ann on 835167 if you can help with this.

One-off help with grounds and hall maintenance – there are sometimes seasonal chores for which the committee welcome help eg grounds clearup, gutter cleaning, hall spring clean. contact Kate on 835385 if you can help with this.

Events – the committee occasionally organise events in the hall to raise funds for maintenance. We also support events other people organise to raise funds for the hall eg we provide marshals for the Fun Run. The events are limited by the number of local people willing to help. If you are free  occasionally on specific dates then this would be very helpful. contact Kate on 835385.

You can also help the hall financially without getting out of your seat by joining the 100 Club (see separate page on this website).
