Hope some of you saw the Northern Lights, if not there is another chance to see them tonight, good luck!
Still very cold but dry the first few days with over night showers, possibly snow. Thursday we are getting milder air and a showery day is forecast. Friday should see us with a mild and lovely day!
Although the ground is frozen we can get on with some serious pruning of the over grown Buddleya and Elders. We will leave one Elder untouched for David to try out some wine making! There are still some 3 varieties of tulips to lift, split and replant, which will have to wait till Wednesday.
Then we shall work on our new circular bed in the lawn. We have already cut and turned the turf a few weeks ago so now the soil needs leveling off. The next stage is to create 4 paths to the centre of the circle where we shall have our sun dial, given to us by our daughter. Still lots to do there.
If you have autumn fruiting Raspberries, they will need cutting down to the ground, a good mulch of compost or old grass clippings on top would be appreciated!
I have started cutting our ornamental grasses leaving the young shoots to grow.
What a lovely gift, I bet the sundial will look great in the centre of the new paths.
