A very pleasant week ahead. Cool night tonight 5C degrees bringing a cloudy start to Monday morning but brightening up around lunch time. Same pattern for Tuesday. Cooler night 4C degrees and light cloud all day but 10C degrees warm. This applies for the remaining days with an extra one or two degrees here or there and with southerly winds.
A great gardening week with the favourable weather forecast. Looks good for weeding, carrying out more pruning of branches growing into the pathways. Also transplanting some Foxgloves from pathways back into the flower border.
Later on this week with the southerly winds I shall get a bonfire on the go. We have a few biggish shrubs and one or two young trees to transplant and doing them this time of year they should recover and stabilize well for next season, especially with a good watering.
With the short daylight hours every small task is a success, so for the next few weeks we will continue with constructing paths and I will give my weekly reports a break and continue towards the end of January.
We wish you all a very merry festive season and a good and successful start to 2017!
