Big changes afoot this coming weather week. Monday an amazing 13-17C degrees but turning colder as the week progresses. All week looks to be dry with westerly winds getting stronger midweek and temperatures dropping to 5C degrees and possibly frosty nights!
We have had a lovely, colourful and long autumn, but we will get a taste of winter this week!
There are still a few days of leaf raking to enjoy, the last leaves will surely drop with the low night temperatures this week.
Now that the deciduous trees have lost their leaves, pruning can go ahead from now until February. Apple and Pear trees too can be pruned from now till early March. Cut out any canker and try to keep an open goblet effect.
Having the geese flying over during the day makes any weeding or raking leaves a few minutes of wonder, they are such remarkable birds!
Sounds absolutely idillic and so evocative of late autumnal weather in Moray. Can’t wait until I’m able to return to Roseisle.
Wonderful reports from Gwynne! Interesting and informative…I enjoy reading the reports. Thank you.
