Garden Tips#36

October 23, 2016 by Gwynne Hetherington

After a bit of rain yesterday and a chilly night, Monday will feel cold – 7C degrees with cloud cover and maybe some sunny spells. On Tuesday  temperatures start to rise noticeably with the sunshine. Wednesday and Thursday will be getting up to 13C degrees, dry with increasing westerly winds. And Friday looks to be cloudy with one or two spells of rain.

The leaves have started falling like rain so we rake up as much as we can from the lawns and bring them to our leaf composting area. It becomes great mulching compost for next season.

We have still to tackle the bird boxes as well as a number of jobs not started that I have mentioned last week, but we have the winter months to get through the many “jobs”, however  they are pleasurable “jobs”.
