Our Indian summer is still with us, maybe some more cloud cover, but still a few sunny spells and the temperature about 13 to 15C degrees although night temperatures will be quite chilly 7 to 9C degrees.
With the dry weather still continuing any plants divided or moved and replanted will need watering again.
We have started tidying some areas of the garden ready for the winter ahead although they will still need to be mulched. Other beds need the same attention. Slightly tender perennials will be getting some mulch for frost protection too in a week or two.
There should be a parcel full of tulip bulbs arriving soon, so they need to be planted ready for a Spring show.
I will be thinking of bringing in all the tender potted plants and houseplants into the heated greenhouse and fleecing them up during the cold nights to come which will be quite a struggle finding room for them all!
