Garden Tips#2

February 6, 2016 by Gwynne Hetherington

It looks like it is turning milder, let’s just say, it’s not going to be freezing temperatures! Hope you haven’t had too much damage from last weeks storms!

I think I will prune the late flowering Clematis this week. I will reduce last year’s growth to a strong bud 3-4 inches above the base. Hopefully we will also get a bonfire going, which is always great fun, depending on the wind direction! Because our garden is still relatively young, I am regularly weeding every day, they just don’t seem to stop growing. I have found it is better to do a little often, rather than face a “big weed”!!

Enjoy the lovely Snowdrops coming through.
