Is This It
With Poet and Storyteller, Margot Henderson
A one-woman show that looks death in the face and tells it like it is, straight from the corpse’s mouth. A warm wry take on the journey from cradle to grave, through love and loss and all that death brings in its wake. This piece brings us up close and personal and asks some of the big questions: How do we deal with death when it comes to the door? What binds us together, what tears us apart?
Lal Batti Express (Red Light Express)
An energetic, poignant and important show.
Kranti (Revolution) empowers girls from Mumbai’s red-light areas to become agents of social change. In 2014, Kranti’s girls wrote, directed and performed a play in dozens of theatres and festivals, helping to change the mindsets of thousands of people about sex workers and their children. Their latest play, Lal Batti Express (Red-Light Express), is a compilation of their life stories and experiences. It is a journey of Krantikaris (Revolutionaries) through their past, present, and future. These stories move and inspire.
